Mrs. Stella Came died some time in mid-August, 1915. at Lake Shore Hospital. Police suspected Dr. Maximillian Meinhard (hospital owner), Dr. G. A. Stetler, and Dr. Charles W. Clark. The latter doctors were arrested, but Meinhard was on vacation.
